FAQs About Therapy
-
How do I know if I need counselling?
If you are thinking about counselling, it is always worth contacting a therapist to discuss working with them. Someone can attend counselling for a wide range of reasons, ranging from complex trauma to wanting a deeper understanding of themselves.
-
How long does counselling last?
Generally, each counselling session lasts for 50-minutes.
The number of sessions needed is generally up to you. All of our counsellors work on an open-ended basis, meaning that you can keep coming for as long as you want.
-
How frequently should I attend counselling?
Counselling generally works best when attended at least weekly. Some therapists do offer fortnightly sessions, so this is something that you might be able to discuss with individual practitioners.
-
What type of therapy is best for me?
There are many different types of therapy, and each therapist brings their unique experiences to their work.
It is always worth reading a therapist’s profile and discussing with them how they work so that you can consider whether that would be beneficial for you.
-
How do I book a session?
Each of our therapists is an independent practitioner, so you would need to contact them individually to book a consultation or initial session.
If you would like to contact us about general counselling questions or enquire about certain therapists, we will do our best to answer you. You can do this by using the Contact Us button at the top of the page.

How much does counselling cost?

Please check therapist profiles/websites for their fees.
